Product Review – @FairyTaleHS Fairy Tale High Dolls

Once upon a time, before they fell in love and lived happily ever after, they were teenagers. Enter the magical world of Fairy Tale High…

What would it have been like to take biology with Belle or art with Alice in Wonderland? Were Cinderella and Little Mermaid songbirds, even back in high school? Run track with Tinker Bell, eat lunch with Snow White, rehearse with Rapunzel for the big talent show or try to wake Sleeping Beauty from her daily desk naps at Fairy Tale High.

Typical teenagers… living life and loving fashion, fun and friendships… long before they even knew they would be princesses.

Enter the magical world of Fairy Tale High®, a place where magic happens and beloved fairy tale characters come together for the first time ever in a modern-day high school setting. Toting the latest accessories and sporting designer fashions and hip hairstyles, teenage Snow White, Rapunzel, Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Little Mermaid, Alice in Wonderland, Tinker Bell and Cinderella are brought to life as they might have been before they became fairy tale princesses.
Fairy Tale High features a collection of beautifully designed fashion dolls, along with a series of webisodes and eBooks found for free at www.fairytalehigh.com, that showcase each character’s  teenage story, revealing the qualities that will eventually make them princesses and the not-so-perfect flaws that trip them up along the way.
As students in a performing arts high school, these hip and trendy teenage characters develop their talents and learn new ones as they study music, dance, art, and acting while dealing with romances, jealousies and personal challenges along the way. With guest appearances by classic heroines and villains like Victoria, the Wicked Witch of the West; Pinocchio, who cannot tell a truth; and many others, Fairy Tale High is for the princess-loving girl who is looking for one she can relate to.
Recommended for ages 3 and up.  MSRP $17.99 each.
I received these three dolls to review:

Teen Alice in Wonderland

Alice’s friends call her Ali.  She attends Fairy Tale High with Belle, Little Mermaid and Tink.  She loves painting and exploring new things.  Her cat is named Chessie!

Teen Sleeping Beauty

Sleeping Beauty needs a ton of beauty rest and take naps whenever and wherever she can.  She attends Fairy Tale High with Cinderella, Snow White and Rapunzel.  She loves making her own clothes and her favorite class is Fashion Design.

Teen Cinderella

Her friends call her Cindy and she hangs with Rapunzel, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty.  She has the best shoe collection and could dance all night – but never stays out past midnight.  She hopes to someday meet her Prince Charming at a prom.

Fairy Tale High dolls are so unique.  There characters and design are unique but they are so much more than that.  They are based on Fairy Tale characters but you can read all about them on the Fairy Tale High website!  Every doll has it’s own ebook so you can be a part of their Fairy Tale High experience.

There are also “webisodes” so you can catch up with the characters at school and see what goes on with their day.  Check out webisode 1:

As soon as my box of dolls came in my daughter started hooting and hollering.  This is such a terrific spin on the classic fairy tales.  My daughter attends a before and after school program so she brought her dolls to school to share after school.  She has been bringing them every day since.  Every girl there wants one!  They also have a computer at the program so the leaders are able to turn these dolls into a language arts lesson to help the girls get their “reading time” in as part of their homework program.
The dolls are dressed in very contemporary clothing and deal with contemporary issues.  My daughter would most likely put a book about Cinderella down because she will act like it is for babies.  But this ebook in conjunction with her doll captivate her so well.  She will sometimes even draw pictures of scenes that she imagines once she is done with her play.

We love these dolls.  They stimulate imagination; provide academic support; introduce children to traditional fairy tale characters in a more contemporary setting.  Love them!

You can purchase your own Fairy Tale High dolls at ToysRUs, Walmart or other online retailers

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
