Chocolate Chip Cookie Deliciousness

This is for a very large batch but with 6 people in our house and school lunches coming up – a large batch is what we need.

2 Sticks of butter

1 1/2 Cups of light brown sugar

1 1/2 Cups sugar

4 Large eggs

2 Teaspoons pure vanilla extract

12-24 Ounces of SemiSweet chocolate chips (your preference – we like more)

4 1/2 Cups all purpose flour

1 1/2 Teaspoons baking soda

2 Teaspoons salt

1/4 Cup vegetable oil

The first thing to do is melt the butter in a separate microwave safe dish.

Mix all ingredients other than the flour together with the melted butter.  Gradually add in the flour.  It is easiest to do this process with your hands.  The batter is quite thick.  Then knead in your chocolate chips.  As an alternative you could use M&M’s or some other flavor chip if you wish, or even some nuts too.

You can either drop by spoonful onto a cookie sheet or our personal preference is to drop them by spoonfuls into muffin tins.  Then our cookies cook in a perfect shape making them look like they are straight from a professional bakery.  Bake at 375 for approximately 20 minutes

Quicklids Silicone Spatulas

Make sure you use your Quicklids Silicone Spatulas to get every last drop.  I would be lost without my silicone spatulas – when making cookies I can easily get at least one additional cookie with this utensil – for something like muffins or cupcakes – even an extra full muffin or cupcake!  There is no reason to let that good batter go to waste.  Plus because they are made with 100% food grade silicone it doesn’t harbor germs, won’t warp or discolor, are heat-resistant and nonstick and are very attractive.  It helps that neon green and orange are my favorite colors.

Not only can you use these spatulas for cooking, saving every last drop of your “batters” – when you have a pot of water boiling – the wooden handle can be laid across the top of the pot and the pot will not boil over.  Don’t believe me?  You definitely need to try it.  Your pasta will never boil over again!
