I am the best mom in the world…
Well at least according to the kids… I’ll take what I can get. So this is how I have achieved that status:
I fix their clothes; I make them into something else; or I dye them – ultimately meaning not much gets thrown away anymore or donated
I cut Anthony’s hair – yup all by myself, whenever we feel like it – if that doesn’t deserve the status I can’t imagine what would
I cut up boxes and use them for other things – postcards, notecards, notepads, coasters, bookmarks, mats for photos, placemats etc…
I can use spray paint and I can use tools
I struggle with throwing anything out – there must be a purpose for it somewhere or for some thing (though I am by no means a hoarder – just to be clear – no intervention needed)
We make donations to schools, churches, families in need, kids etc…
We clean up trash in our travels (to throw out – not to take home) – to “clean the earth”
and I love them.
So there you have it – you can all be the best moms in the world too now. Oh and this morning I was told I could be a celebrity and be famous. Oh the heights to which I have risen. I don’t even know what I did to achieve that status.
But – I don’t clean the house nearly as much as I should; I work a lot of hours; and I don’t get to put them to bed nearly as much as I would like. I guess they don’t worry about that stuff nearly as much as I do.
