The antique frame end result
Well, I went with a more traditional finish to the frame – a simple photo (one of mine). I went with this photo because the horizon is so dark that it looks black and it really stands out against the black lacquer frame. However, the photo had been rolled up for so long it has some ripples that I can’t seem to get rid of. If I can’t stand it I will redo the frame into something else. It is the way of my world.
This photo is from Scarborough Maine. The “mud” you see is a 20 year low and the sea had pulled back miles. We could walk out into the sea as far as we could manage – it just never seemed to end. We dug up HUGE clams and other sea creatures. Very memorable day. There were parts of the undersea world where the terrain was so uneven we had to have people give us a hand up on to the mounds that were almost a story tall. Seriously – I gave alot of thought to “is this the precursor to a tsunami” – but the weather persons were very clear this was an anomoly and not related to some catastrophic meteorological event. Apparently they were correct and I am so thankful for the photo opportunity.
