Another piece of furniture for my daughter’s room

So far I had finished the rolltop desk and an end table. There are three more pieces left – this one is the smallest of the three. One other of the three will not be refinished – my husband is partial to its “original” look. But the other will definitely be refinished when I can get another block of time. That one is huge.
This is the “before” shot. It wasn’t too bad in white but over the years marker seemed to find its way onto the sides and top and “lots of other stuff”. Plus the white was just so dirty looking and really needed a pick me up. The handles were brassy with a white wash – I hated the white wash.
And there you have it.
My neighbors are always quite interested in what I am doing. This was my driveway and garage today…
Do you see that little patch of mud on the small patch of grass just to the right of the garage? I can’t tell you how many times during this process that my English Mastiff rolled in that mud and decided to shake it all off in the midst of my painting! I think that process alone was enough to have the neighbors pop some popcorn, grab a soda and a lawn chair and enjoy the day of free entertainment.
Oh and these are the supplies… It is easy to guess what to get for gifts for me – paint, powertools or lumber…
Oooh, I love those colors!! So pretty!
I’m visiting from Skip to My Lou and I’m your newest follower!
Thanks and it is so great to have you. Athena
What an array of color your palette holds. Nothing boring there!!
