Family time – very few interruptions. It is so difficult to be away from my projects. In the future I will need to come up with some better planning for excursions. Keep the small projects for traveling. I started two small projects before leaving home but the odor from the not dry yet Mod Podge would have driven everyone crazy in a vehicle. I will finish those upon our return home.
But we are having fun. Yesterday the weather was damp and chilly all day. Today is partly cloudy and supposed to be much warmer – it already is. It never rose higher than 55 degrees yesterday and so many kids were in the pool. It happens every year. Trust me – that water is not nearly warm enough to be swimming in 55 degree weather. Having said that – we may just go to the beach later to walk out to the infamous sandbar. Low tide will be around 3:30pm – if we make it out there I will post some pics.
Catch up with you all later.
Okay – so it is now much later. We did go to the beach. All morning it was steadily getting warmer til it hit about 75 degrees. At 2pm we decided to head out to the beach because it was officially warm. The ocean is 1 mile from where we are. Between our start and finish at the beach the temperature dropped 17 degrees and although we didn’t have any wind at the campsite the beach was the windiest we had ever experienced. It was sooooo bone chilling cold. But – that didn’t stop the kids from going into the ocean. There weren’t too many people in the water but there were alot of wind surfers. We wanted to head out to the sand bar but you do need to travel through a little bit of water to get there and the ocean was rough with all the wind so we didn’t trust the currents.
See – it didn’t seem to stop them at all!
