Winter Dress gone summer
Okay so this week is soooo hot. Over the winter I made my daughter a bunch of these jumpers out of Christmas fabric – this one is Hello Kitty. At the time I was following a pattern – which I never learned to do. I can wing it just fine but I can’t read a pattern – not to sew, not to build, not to crochet – I apparently am just not that kind of “learner”. It all looks like hieroglyphics to me. But I can look at a picture of something and generally develop a concept of how to get there.
So I had a picture of a dress. My daughter likes longer style dresses – so I added some length. Only thing is I couldn’t figure out sleeves – I have since figured them out and done many of them. Now if I could just create nice necklines? So all her winter dresses became jumpers – she didn’t care but my husband eventually asked that I start putting sleeves on her dresses…. Well, I would if I could.
Good thing I didn’t – this horrid upper 90’s weather is great for these thin cotton jumper dresses (pardon the turquoise undershirt). They are a Christmas fabric but that is of absolutely no concern to her (as you can plainly see).
