The Large Sign
This is the sign that I originally made for the camper – but since it hasn’t made it there yet I have re-allocated it to the front yard. Naturally in order to do this as inexpensively as possible I had to strategize…
Just a reminder – this sign was designed from an old train station sign (that is how large it is). I then spray painted it glossy black; cut out our name with heavyweight metallic shades of cardstock (assorted); Mod Podged them on; Poly-ed the end result.
So now I needed to figure out how to hang it or display it. I found one of these iron plant hangers in the basement – rather short one. Then I used soda can tabs and screwed them onto the back with a small screw and a washer. I had “S” hooks but I needed some sort of chain (or actually wanted – need is rather strong for this situation) to clasp it all together. Having had many dogs in our married life, we have alot of choke chains.
This is the end result – you can’t tell from a distance the materials that “made it work”.
