Tonight – Practical Project
Well, it’s official – the camper is in! It will be delivered to our site on Thursday. Out with the old (if 2010 is old) – in with the new 2012. With two kids and two giant breed dogs we quickly outgrew what was a good size camper but just not meeting our needs. So here it is…
But – there are two doors on the other side and the pull down steps only come down to about 16 inches from the ground. Not nearly low enough for the kids and dogs. So tonight – I used my trusty old circular saw – it used to be my best friend! But then the kids came and it became more difficult to play with my tools safely. But it is a heavy duty Porter Cable saw and except for needing to replace the blade – works the same twenty years later as it did the day I bought it. YAY!
So – I dove right into building some steps. I made them big enough that we could wipe our feet thoroughly (that is the plan anyway) before entering the camper. I can sooooo relate to Tim The Tool Man Taylor – nothing like a powerful machine to help you relax and refocus.
Now the kids will actually be able to come into the camper…
Wow!!!! Now that is a camper. Have fun.
Thanks – it is very different for sure. Enjoy your weekend.
