This project is a result of battles between my kids. Remember the footstool I re-upholstered months ago? To them, it is a seat, not for feet. As a result there is only one and a battle always ensues.
I purchased this little footstool at the thrift store…
(Yes, she does need to be in as many pictures as she can be…)
I also purchased some wall shelves that have four compartments and can connect to one another to make a whole series of shelves… I primed them with Kilz Primer.
Then spray painted them Valspar Glossy Black.
Gotta love how the glossy black is so hard to see details. I then unscrewed the legs from the footstool and removed the fabric so I could see the wood beneath.
And the last piece – just glue the small footstool on top of the two small bookshelves and I have a foot taller stool appropriate enough for my daughter to use as an actual seat!
We are done with this project now.
