Saving the shoes
My daughter loves her shoes and HATES sneakers. We try and try to get her to enjoy sneakers but other than gym day at school – she is not at all interested in wearing them. Out of five kids, two of them have always wanted to wear two different shoes at the same time – and their ages are so far apart that my daughter wasn’t even born when Bob went through that phase. Seph isn’t passing through though – she has always been that way. Plus she loves boots – cowboy boots, UGG style knockoffs etc… You name it she loves them. See a previous glamorized boots post HERE.
The problem however is that she abuses her footwear big time. She rides her bike and uses shoes as brakes; skateboards, rollerblades, uses her scooter, climbs trees etc… So shoes either don’t last long or I need to constantly think of ways to revive them.
This was a pair of very well worn, beat up Mary Jane style shoes. I was just about to put them in the trash but figured I would make one last ditch effort to revive them.
