Coca Cola Freestyle
No one has asked me to review this product but I just can’t help myself. In my world this was awesome!
Do you prefer diet drinks to full sugar drinks? I cannot stand full sugar drinks – not soda, juice, punches etc… But when eating out there are not a large number of options – usually they are just Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi (I am NOT a Pepsi product drinker), maybe low calorie lemonade, or unsweetened iced tea. That is usually as far as the variety goes. But even for regular drinks – there are not 100+ options!
The new Coca Cola Freestyle system provides options for 100+ flavors of drinks. And guess what? I was able to experience it at a Burger King in Maine. I had all I could do not to sit there and drink all day long just so I could taste all the available flavor options. Most of them I can’t even buy at a grocery store!
This is what the machine looks like. First you say you are ready to get started then you get your ice. Then you choose generically what taste you are looking for which will bring you to one of the following screens:
You make your final choice based on the option you choose on that screen. If you wish to mix flavors you simply start the process again and choose another flavor.
What a remarkable innovation. I felt like “The Jetsons” was becoming a reality. Any drink you can think of (practically) all at your fingertips.
What did I choose – First diet orange then diet grape. No those are not my favorites but they are what I wanted to have – just because I could!
Seriously – who needs a vending machine or a simple coke machine with this thing around. Now how long before it gets rolled out nationwide and to more than just Burger King?
For anyone in my “neck of the woods” apparently the closest to us is at the Mohegan Sun Casino – two locations.
