Upcycle sweater into infinity scarf
The rest of the sweater…. The sleeves were made into a cowl like scarf. The body of the sweater easily becomes an infinity scarf.
Cut the bottom portion of the sweater off up to the armpits. Don’t worry if it isn’t too even – I was trying to work on the floor in the sewing room around my son and all his baseball cards and my daughter and all her dolls and the dog trying to eat my daughter’s ice cream. Remarkable it isn’t more crooked than it is! You won’t notice it though since it is an infinity scarf.
The bottom edge is the original hem; the sides are already sewn from the sweater. So only one long edge needs a 1/4 inch hem.
Then simply double it up around your neck (as my model displays). A nice warm infinity scarf without the need to crochet or knit one yourself.
