Do You ZenTangle
I can truly say that I ZenTangled from as early as I can remember. Problem is – I went to Catholic school and that kind of artistic expression was definitely discouraged and you would even get penalized for it. I remember the designs I would make with cows and horses. I just thought it was so boring to color anything the way everyone (nuns) felt it should be colored. I wanted everything to be more.
Well, guess what? It is actually now an art form. What I used to get punished for I let my kids do for hours on end.
If you have never done ZenTangle it minimally is a bunch of repetitive designs placed together to create an artistic piece. No two pieces would be the same. When you start you have no real idea where the expression will take you. And there is really no incorrect way of doing it.
Which makes it the perfect artistic method for people with special needs. You don’t need to be an artist to create ZenTangle art. These are from my daughter:
And this is one from my son:
But most importantly the kids feel like they are creating fantastic art – and they are!
