Sephora may be little but she has huge desires. One of the things she does almost all by herself is make stromboli. We do buy the dough for her so all she has to do is roll it out – and we do take whatever fixin’s we want out and prep them for her. But she flours the table, flours the dough, rolls it all out, arranges all the stuffing items – in this case simple pepperoni and mozzarella cheese because she was making it for dad – she folds it all up perfectly, and “glues” it all together with a whipped up egg.
My husband or I are responsible for preheating the oven, putting it in and taking it out when it is ready – she is too little for that yet (or maybe not but we don’t let her do it).
And heaven forbid I try to make a suggestion to her method at any point along the way. It is her way and she makes that clear. But she does a really good job and it always comes out very tasty – so why mess with her success.
