Photo Editing Option to Replace Picnik
When Picnik decided to close I was devastated. What would I do now? No product that was free or a minimal cost was as easy to use with as many features as I wanted. But once their announcement became public other applications have been rushing to fill the massive void. I have been keeping an eye on them and I have firmly decided on a replacement. Many applications have some of the features but not all. And most that I tried are not as user friendly or easy to just jump in and edit something to make it usable. However,…
iPiccy has been jumping into the market and making changes very rapidly to meet the needs of the Picnik consumers. I am VERY HAPPY with this as a replacement. So many of the same features with the same names. At the moment there are still a few things they don’t have that Picnik did but I am sure they are aggressively trying to meet those requests – such as more fonts, some collage options and sticker options. But the other options are all there, easy to find and formatted very similar to Picnik.
Here is a “before” photo – no editing at all – straight out of the camera as a .jpg.
Here is the photo after being edited in iPiccy: cropped, airbrushed, softened, vignette, gritty, enhanced, highlighted and text.
Yup – I am a very happy person right now and even if those other features never get added – I am absolutely a new iPiccy consumer!
