Product Review – Premama Prenatal Vitamins
Premama Prenatal Vitamins
The Premama prenatal vitamins are a vitamin drink mix that you mix with any fruit flavored drink. The drink mix has the complete mix of prenatal vitamins and minerals to help reduce the risk of some birth defects by up to 70% and to promote healthy fetal development. The drink mix is formulated to provide nausea relief, it is all natural, only 6 calories and gentle on the stomach.
As a prenatal vitamin it contains folic acid, chelated iron, vitamin D3, coenzyme Q10, ginger root and other vitamins and minerals. The formula allows for better tolerability and more comfortable consumption – no longer needing to rely on horse sized pills to take your vitamins.
A full packet per day is the dose. However, either the full packet may be mixed into a 12 ounce fruit flavored beverage or you can choose to use 1/2 packet 2x per day to achieve the same results. The packets are split in the middle to make the 1/2 dose easier.
Just mix the powder into a fruit flavored beverage and drink within 5 minutes of mixing. It is not recommended for mixing in carbonated or hot beverages.
it is recommended that women take Premama while trying to conceive, during pregnancy and while breastfeeding. Although I do not fit into any of these categories, some organizations also suggest that all women ages 15 to 50 should take prenatal vitamins every day.
Although I am not trying to conceive, breastfeeding or pregnant – I wanted to try the Premama drink mix because I do take prenatal vitamins most of the time. I have some endocrine system issues that cause me to need calcium, magnesium and D3 on a daily basis so vitamins are a way of life. I love that the packages are split in the middle making it easy to use 1/2 at a time rather than trying to estimate just how much is half. I also love that it isn’t a pill. I find that anything in pill form is very easy to avoid. I didn’t mix the powder with juice – I find juice in and of itself causes stomach upset for me so adding something to it will not be beneficial. But I do like Gatorade G2s. So I add my mix to them and it tastes just fine. Depending on what flavor you choose it tends to add a citrus like flavor to it. The texture did not taste gritty or anything but when you first put the powder in, it does look like it may taste gritty but it didn’t.
I believe the Premama prenatal drink mix vitamins are a fabulous alternative to the traditional pill form prenatal vitamins and I will highly recommend them to any of my friends who have a need for prenatal vitamins.
