Vinyl Disorder creates and sells custom car & wall vinyl graphics. A while ago I completed a review for them for the car window kit. I absolutely loved their product and knew I would be doing business with them again. They make decals for anything and everything.
Their decals are all made to order with high quality vinyl that can be used on just about any smooth surface. Vinyl Disorder has a huge selection of decals to choose from. There are so many options because they make everything once you order it. They do not carry the items in inventory – this process allows them a greater degree of flexibility.
Years ago I used to play piano and guitar. That was sooo many years ago. Now our youngest child wants to learn piano (while our youngest son is more interested in guitar). The quickest way to get my daughter playing and keep her interest is with Big Note Piano. Since she didn’t know even one key on the piano I started looking for assistance. I did purchase one of those long keyboard cards that rests along the back of the piano. That isn’t very helpful though because then you can’t see the piano book you are playing from. If you are good enough to not need the book, you would definitely be good enough to not need the keyboard chart.
The only other option I knew of was keyboard stickers. There were two types that I found – one kind is truly a sticker and I definitely did not want sticky adhesive on my piano keys. I also have two keyboards but I wasn’t fond of putting stickers on the keyboards keys either. Another type of keyboard “sticker” is made of something similar to the vinyl decals but more like a kids colorform You can easily take them on/off and reuse them. However, they do come off so easily that you have to put them higher up on the keys -you can’t really “play” the piano on them. And in both of these cases it wasn’t just the letter I would be placing on the keys – it was either a circle or square background also. So distracting…
I wasn’t happy with any of those options. Having worked with Vinyl Disorder in the past – I contacted them right away. They were super helpful! It does say all over their site that they do custom requests but I never asked them to before. I explained my issue and they got to work on my request right away. I wanted letters that were no more than 1/2 inch wide; only letters A through G; and 8 sets of them (for a full piano keyboard). I am so incredibly pleased with the result. The letters can come off if and when I choose to, yet there will be absolutely no residue upon their removal. They were the perfect size and they stay adhered to the keys even when we “play” right on top of them. Lastly, I only have the letters on the keys – not a circle or square background.
Here they are – I am sure if I wanted a different font they could/would do it so don’t base your impression on the font. This was exactly what I was looking for but maybe you would want something fancier… I have an old Baldwin Spinet piano.
See?! The letters are perfect. They are nice, clear, crisp and clean and we can maneuver our fingers right on top of them without them dislodging, slipping or peeling.
Vinyl Disorder has an entire section of their site dedicated to personalization of band equipment. Check it out! There are so many options and you can customize anything you want.
