Easy As Can Be – Making Ice Cream in a Baggie
This is a very easy project and unfortunately I do not have a photo of the completed masterpiece. Four kids and they devoured their prize immediately.
What do you need to make your own?
Half and Half
Sandwich ziplock bag (any brand)
Gallon sized ziplock bag (any brand)
I did not use exact measurements so I will relay it to you that way. Using the sandwich baggie put approximately 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1 cup of half and half and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla (eyeballing it works just fine). Zip that baggie up nice and tight. Fill a gallon sized baggie halfway with ice – then add some rock salt. I would estimate I added about 1/2 cup of rock salt. Place the sandwich baggie inside the gallon baggie and zip that one up. Rotate it around and keep it moving for approximately 5 minutes. Then have a spoon ready to eat that ice cream right up!
