Green Giant now makes veggie chips such as Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chip – Garden Ranch and Green Giant Multigrain
Sweet Potato Chip – Barbecue.
I love tortilla chips and have had different sweet potato chips a few times so I was looking forward to trying these new Green Giant products.
The first tried were the Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chip – Garden Ranch. Those chips were terrific. The ranch flavoring is not a faint subtle flavor – it is a strong ranch flavor. Two ways I incorporated them into my day/meals were actually not to eat them as full chips straight out of the bag – though I did have a few that way. Eating them like that I could easily eat the entire bag so I choose to alter my eating strategy. The first method of eating these chips was to crunch them up and sprinkle them onto my tuna fish sandwich. And with the tuna being on a hamburg bun rather than slices of bread – true heaven! The salty flavor of the chip complements the flavor of the tuna salad very well. The addition of the ranch flavoring added some spice to my sandwich making it even more spectacular. I urge you all to try this at home… Another way I ate these chips was to crunch some more up and sprinkle onto my salad. I usually either eat my salad without dressing or with a little oil/vinegar. Adding these chips (not a ton of them but enough to add some variety) to my salad was a welcome addition.
Next I opened the Green Giant Multigrain
Sweet Potato Chip – Barbecue. These chips were shared at work. I am not a huge fan of barbecue flavoring but I do love sweet potato chips. There are two ways to look at these chips and it is entirely a personal preference. They weren’t my favorite because I couldn’t take the sweet potato – only the barbecue. HOWEVER, everyone I worked with who like barbecue flavored “stuff” absolutely loved these chips and devoured them. And if you don’t like sweet potato chips – you can’t even taste it – just the barbecue so go for it. You will love these.
Something I was very pleased with when I received these chips (and you can see it in the photos) is that these chip bags have box tops on them! So please remember to support your local schools and save box tops. It does provide schools with real quantifiable value through some amazing products.
Be sure to “like” them on Facebook HERE and definitely do buy them, support them and turn those box tops into your local school districts – or even to a child in your neighborhood who can turn them in. Many schools have competitions for the children to motivate them to collect more box tops. Everyone wins.
