All New Nerf Rebelle for Girls
Last summer I made my daughter (now 8) a bow and arrow set. It is totally awesome – made from PVC pipe, high tension twine, washers and electrical tape. I even made the arrows with dowels and soft cusions on the end. However, that has totally gotten her hooked on anything bow related.
Then she saw these Nerf Rebelle toys and truly acted like she was going to die without them. You have to know my daughter – the queen of drama. But I must say she has been pretty consistent about this “need”.
We have been given the opportunity to review the Heartbreaker Bow. It is awesome ( yeah I like that word ). I grew up with bow and arrows, guns, sling shots etc… I could never ever use them on an animal (just for the record) but I loved the expertise of hitting that target – stationary or moving – it didn’t matter. So part of me is thrilled that my youngest of 5 children has many of the same desires as me.
The Heartbreaker bow shoots 5 darts up to 75 feet. I want my daughter to grow up to be a strong woman. And thanks to so many films recently depicting young women as strong role models for the children of today – she will not be in the minority. She is growing up in a time where it is a tremendous compliment to be thought of as a strong female.
The 5 foam darts that come with it are different designs and colors. The bow is decorated with pink and purple phoenix feathers making the bow feminine but strong.
I received the Heartbreaker Bow and some additional darts for this review. Problem is – even though this is for girls, my son desperately wants one too!
The Nerf Rebelle series also has: Guardian Crossbow, Sweet Revenge Kit or Pink Crush Blaster.
You can purchase them at ToysRUs, Walmart, KMart and other retailers online.
You can even experience the blasters online HERE
Nerf does have bows for boys but I don’t see any that shoot up to 75 feet. I may just have to purchase a Nerf Rebelle for my son…It will not be acceptable for him to have a bow that shoots 40 feet.
