Which Sound is More Pleasing – Crunching Leaves Underfoot or Bubble Wrap Popping?
My kids love to pop bubble wrap and love the sound of it. ME? I totally hate it. I will purposely try to open packages when they are not around because they will start freaking out about the bubble wrap. To me it ranks right up there with fingernails on chalk boards; getting my teeth cleaned and scraping a fork on your teeth. I hate it!
However, I could listen to crunching leaves underfoot all day. That could easily be one of those soothing noise machine sounds for me and I would sleep just fine. To me the sound produces images of Fall foliage and all the wonderful season changing smells, sounds, visions etc… The sounds of waves crashing has the same effect – I can even smell the salt water while closing my eyes and listening to the waves crashing.
