Misfit Wearables has this new tracker – new to the market – called the Shine and Elegant Tracker.

This device is so unique – gone are the days of wearing a simple pedometer.  There is so much more to track and be aware of.

First the Shine and Elegant Tracker can be worn just about anywhere in any way.

Shine is exclusively available in additional colors at Best Buy including Silver, Black, Champagne and Topaz.

Shine Features: Activity Tracking, Steps, Activities such as: Swimming, Biking, Tennis, etc., Sleep, Calories, Clock, Waterproof, Extra Accessories (includes Magnet clip), Leather Bands, Sport band, Necklace.

Shine is a gorgeous device that will empower people to be more proactive about their personal health.

I was sent the Shine with the magnetic clip.  So how was I going to wear it?  I made a necklace out of Tshirt yarn (see HERE how to make it) and clipped the Shine on to it.  And yes, it is so elegant I wear it outside my clothing for the world to see.  The Shine itself is only the size of a quarter.  It also can display the time – it takes some getting used to viewing a clock this way but it definitely does work.

I have experience with several different trackers and honestly they are all great depending on what you are looking for.  But what the Shine has that no others have – a long life battery.  Never needs recharging – after approximately 4 months simply replacement the battery with a standard store bought battery.  It also is water resistant up to 50 meters.  No other tracker boasts that kind of resistance.  And lastly – no other tracker is nearly this nice to look at.  All others are worn on your wrist or upper arm with very little flexibility.  The Shine can be worn just about anywhere on your body or clothing.  Some other trackers are actually quite ugly.  The one feature I do miss is the ability to see my activity anytime I want without having to sync with a device.  However, syncing is really easy with the Shine so it is of minimal inconvenience.  Also, although I do not have the sport bracelet accessory, I have seen it.  And unlike other devices like the Nike Fuel and Fitbit Flex, it doesn’t rely on a clip that can easily become undone.  Yes – that has happened all too often.

To sync you simply open the Shine App and tap the screen (make sure bluetooth is on).  It syncs in seconds and it is so simple to view your activity.

We spend a great deal of time swimming and this is the first tracker that is appropriate to wear (and designed to wear) while swimming!  All I have to do is set my activity for swimming and it will track the activity accordingly.

The Shine is perfect for men or women – wear it and you will receive compliments for sure.
