An Old Trick Becomes New Again
Sometimes I am so incredibly amazed at what my kids think “makes me cool”.
Tonight my daughter was walking around with a quarter. I asked if I could have it for a minute. With a bit of reluctance she finally handed it over.
Remember that Happy Days episode with the quarter catching contest?
Basically you place elbow up in the air with your wrist on your shoulder or in whatever position is comfortable for you as long as your forearm is flat to lay the quarter on. Swing your wrist quickly down and around the catch the quarter in your hand. You have to move quickly.
Years ago I could do 25. I have no idea what my limit would be now. But easily 10. STILL! Thirty years later and YUP – I still got it!
My kids had to watch me do 10 three or four times before they could even grasp what exactly I was doing and how the quarters ended up into my hand.
Here is a video showing you the science behind it.
