How I Save on Toner for My Printer
So with the new year I have gone back to couponing. It is just such an important financial strategy that tends to get lost in the shuffle when we get busy. However, to do so properly we need to be able to print coupons. Of course that means we go through ink very quickly.
There is no need to print coupons in color – black and white are just as accepted. I encourage you to use a laser printer rather than any type of inkjet which will get very expensive. This post is to explain to you how I get inexpensive ink.
I have a Brother machine – HL2279DW
Brand name toner (not high yield) is $45 per cartridge.
However, I utilize eBates and Inkgrabber.
First I go to eBates (sign up if you don’t already have an account). I search for Inkgrabber then simply click on the SHOP NOW button. For non OEM ink I get a 15% rebate. I am then transported through a portal directly to the Inkgrabber site. It will look exactly like it does if I go there directly.
Now I shop normally through Inkgrabber. I purchase a three pack of generic cartridges for a total of $71.99.
However, since I also receive Inkgrabber’s newsletters I have a code for 20% off. The amount I am charged for the ink (not counting shipping because no matter where I purchase them there will be a shipping cost) is $57.59 plus I will be getting 15% back as a rebate – for a FINAL PRICE of $48.95. This will yield me up to 3,600 pages – which is a ton of coupons.
Had I purchased three OEM cartridges at Staples I would have spent $135.00. I easily saved 64% on my ink.
