Save $7 per Ticket at #LakeCompounce This Summer! See How…
I have never been to Lake Compounce so we are very much looking forward to this opportunity to see all that they have to offer. Lake Compounce is located in nearby Bristol CT. Every year we try to take our children to at least one amusement park. Although we live in CT we are never actually here for our fun time since we camp seasonally in Maine. But this year we are planning some CT trips prior to the 4th of July holiday and Lake Compounce is the perfect solution.

Lake Compounce opened this year on May 10th (Saturday). Although it is the oldest amusement park in the country, they have added some awesome new attractions this year such as, the first Pink’s Hollywood Hot Dogs on the East Coast, Bear Creek Campground with charming cabins and traditional tipis, and a weekend laser light spectacle that will “illuminate the night”. They have even created two new season pass options and increased the number of cabanas in Crocodile Cove Water Park.

Lake Compounce has partnered with Pink’s Hot Dogs, a Hollywood Legend since 1939, to open an in-park location across from the Carousel this May. Pink’s Hot Dogs was titled the number one hot dog stand in a list of the ‘Top Ten Hot Dog Stands in the U.S.’ by Fox News. The eminent hot dog stand attracts celebrities such as, Jay Leno and Martha Stewart, and Food Network superstars – Giada de Laurentiis and Guy Fieri. The East Coast’s first Pink’s Hot Dog is deemed to host its grand opening on May 17th alongside the Weiner Dog 100 race featuring Dachshunds racing for the title of Fastest Hot Dog.
Beginning July 4th, the new and magical laser light show, ‘Illuminate the Night’, will light up the night sky every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through August 24th. Produced by Lasertainment in Minnesota, a 50-foot water wall will veil across the lake with simultaneous synchronized music, projections and lasers.
Bear Creek Campground was announced earlier year and will have its grand opening on July 1st. Reservations are currently being taken via telephone, and can soon be made directly on www.campbearcreek.com. In addition to the 20 fully-furnished cabins, 56 RV sites equip with water and electricity, and 30 tent sites, the campground will also be adding 5 tipis. Each tipi has the capacity to sleep 4-6 people, and will have electricity and a mini refrigerator.
Crocodile Cove Water Park has welcomed five additional cabanas that will be located near Bayou Bay, one of the park’s two wave pools. All of the park cabanas have been upgraded to V.I.P. status and will now include a free tote, towel, sunscreen, two large lockers and in-park coupons. In addition, guests can now take advantage of cabana food service by placing their order during the time of rental and can customize their preferred time of delivery.
