Have you heard of the NutriBullet? Anyone that has decided to pursue a healthy lifestyle has definitely heard of it. Many even have one. And now so do I! The NutriBullet is an extremely popular kitchen appliance – you can now find them all over the place, at just about every retail establishment. We live in an area that does not have a great deal of options for healthy foods – health food stores are few and far between and nothing like you would find in a city. If we want to have access to healthy drinks – we pretty much have to make them yourself.
The NutriBullet is an extremely versatile appliance. It is far more than a simple blender. It can easily pulverize ice and more. I use it for all the healthy drinks I can come up with. My favorite drinks include fruits, vegetables, flax seeds, chia seeds, and more. And I always stuff in lots of spinach. It turns everything into quite a nasty color but it is so incredibly healthy for you and it doesn’t add any negative flavor to the drinks. And the hummus options are incredible now and I don’t need to make a huge batch – since no one else in the house eats it. Their loss…
My kids however, are into the more fun type of drinks. Tonight’s was a milkshake – it is very warm and they were begging. Some neopolitan low calorie ice cream, sugar free Hersheys strawberry syrup, strawberries, and a little almond milk. Yummy!
The NutriBullet is very powerful – it has 600 watts of energy packed into its tiny base. This is so portable I can take it with us camping every weekend which allows me to continue to drink my healthy drinks while away – and of course the occasional milkshake for the kids. What is better than sitting by the campfire eating smores and drinking milkshakes – not much according to my kids.
I do have an expensive full size blender but the NutriBullet is still our “go to” appliance. Not everyone in the house wants to drink my healthy shakes – so making a huge batch is definitely going to be a waste of ingredients. Cleanup with the NutriBullet is easy since you can blend in the same cup that you drink out of. And if you don’t finish the drink – simply place one of the supplied covers on it and put in the fridge to drink a little later. The drinks are so healthy since you are blending just about everything. Food prep time is minimized and you consume more nutrients rather than them ending up in the trash. And best of all – it is an appliance that my daughter can use on her own. She often goes about making her own creations – her favorites are the berries – blueberries, raspberries, strawberries. She throws them in a cup, adds a little water and takes her drink with her to school.
