I definitely love to cook, but baking isn’t one of my favorite things. Every time I try to back cookies they end up mushed on all sides because I try to take them off the pan to early. And that’s if I don’t end up dropping the pan on the floor. I leave all the baking to my husband.
I do like making bread braids and pizzas for the kids. And the Bellemain 14”x17” Heavy Duty Aluminum Baking Pan is great for all things that have to go in the oven. I like the flat edges so when I try to lift the braids off the pan they are not going at an angle. And the strong aluminum doesn’t go “pop” in the oven when a corner pops up like those less expensive brands.
My husband loved baking on it because he’s trying to teach the girls how to make cookies and they could pull the cookies off the pan without tearing them apart like I do. It also cooks evenly with no hot spots.
I know there are all kinds of new pans and gadgets out there. But honestly, there is no replacement for what really works. And this pan works. I’ve tried all the black pans with non-stick surfaces and the new green pans. Nothing works as well as a solid baking sheet that will last a lifetime. Trust me. “The best thing since sliced bread” isn’t often not even close to being the best!
