Razor E100 Glow Electric Scooter – So Much Fun In A Scooter Package!
Kids can also streak through the neighborhood like a bolt of blue lightning on the all-new E100 Glow by Razor. With speeds up to ten miles-per-hour and blue LEDs that light up each time you twist the throttle, the Glow transforms our best-selling E100 electric scooter into an out-of-this-world ride. The E100 Glow is available for approximately $169.99. Features kick start, high-torque, chain-driven motor, twist-grip acceleration control and hand operated front brake.
Razor was founded in 2000 and quickly became the most popular scooter name in the industry. With five kids there has never been a year since 2000 yet that one of them isn’t asking for a Razor – one product or other. For Anthony’s birthday this year in October – the thing he wanted most in life was a Razor Kick Scooter. Other kids were riding theirs to school and he wanted one too. I have been continually telling him he cannot ride his bike to school. He has special needs and although school is only a block and a half away – riding his bike is just a little too dangerous. But a Razor Kick Scooter? No problem.
However, this post is not about the Razor Kick Scooter (which all five kids either have had or do now). This post is about the E100 Glow Electric Scooter. I received this scooter in the mail earlier this week but didn’t open it until yesterday. Timing is everything. I opened it yesterday and had it charging right smack dab in the middle of the kitchen for twelve hours. First thing this morning the kids wanted to take it on its maiden voyage at 7am! Oh, but mom is smarter than that and was going to get some serious mileage out of this! First they had to clean their rooms… Then help me fold five baskets of laundry… Then help me take care of the animals…Oops – add in showering, brushing teeth, brushing hair… Pretty much anything I ever ask that causes them to get upset – I made sure was dealt with BEFORE they were allowed to try out this new scooter. They didn’t complain once and did everything I asked. We were out the door, headed to the local school yard by 10am.
This scooter is a really good size – nice and sturdy. The battery compartment is housed beneath the deck and the on/off switch is along the side of the battery compartment. The throttle is the gray section on the right hand handlebar and the handbrake is on the left hand handle bar. There is also a tiny kickstand near the battery compartment.
Of course the forecast said sunny today and as soon as we get to the school yard, it starts to drizzle and it was so incredibly windy. Windy enough that at times it was difficult to ride the E100 Glow – it wasn’t strong enough to fight the wind. This is definitely not the fault of the razor – it was powerful wind. I point it out though because on my videos all you can hear is the wind howling all around me.
To ride the Razor E100 Glow – You step on it just like a kick scooter and start pumping while also holding the throttle – do not release it. The deck lights up with blue lights as it starts “running” and it is really cool to watch as well as ride (which of course I also did). To stop, simply release the throttle and if you need to stop quickly rather than glide to a stop – squeeze the hand brake.
Check it out in action:
If you look closely you will see rain drops on their helmets – it didn’t stop them from wanting to stay outside and ride this scooter all day long. I believe it said it is supposed to last 40 minutes on a charge but I am pretty sure we got longer than that out of it. Maybe because it was its first charge.
Sephora couldn’t figure out if she was hot (tshirt), cold (my sweatshirt) or comfortable (poncho). And Anthony had his rear view spy glasses on so he can see everything going on behind him too.
The school yard was the perfect place to try this out. It was like they knew we were coming – they had cones set up in the yard! It made for some great coursework with the scooter. You can totally hear the wind in this video.
Any child would love to have one of these under the Christmas tree. You can see more videos at www.Razor.com and on YouTube.

My son would love to sip through the neighborhood in this! I’m going to add it to our possible Christmas gifts for our little guy.
This looks like fun. My son would have a blast on one of these.
Do these come in Adult size? I want one!!
eDee – these are designed for kids but I can tell you I was whizzing around on it no problem. Seph thought she was taking a video but she was pressing the record button while on the photo setting. So I have no proof.
These are spectacular. Kids love them. My kids are huge fans of RAZOR products. My son has several of their products at the top of his Christmas list.
I’ve never seen one of these before, but how fun! My kids would have such a great time with one of these.
This is at the top of my little guys list! He has been asking for one for over a year now, he is about to turn 7 and I finally think he is ready for it 🙂
I think I have seen kids riding these around here recently–on sidewalks–wish there was some large, flat yard for them to ride in. I can see why they all seem to want one.
Wow! Looks like so much fun. I know my nephews would love this!
my kids all have the regular razors I know they would love this one too.
This would be a really fun thing to have around for days when the kids need incentive to get outside! My daughter has a regular Razor and it’s been a great scooter.
My kids are in their 20’s and still love to get out the scooter and ride. This looks like so much fun!
My daughter wants one of these so bad! She loves scooters!
This is awesome and so much fun for the kids. My nephew would so love this to ride. Thanks for sharing.
That is cool. My kids love their regular scooter. They would love this.
