BAND-AID® Products are the most popular products on the market.  I don’t have to look far in my house to find their products – especially with two kids at home – BAND-AIDS® are something we always have to keep on hand.  Even today, just before I sat down to write this post – had to apply a couple BAND-AIDS®.

They have also recently launched OUR VETERAN HEROES™ BAND-AID^® Brand Adhesive Bandages, featuring patriotic and military-inspired designs and are donating 5% of the sale price of each box sold to Team Red, White & Blue, available at Walmart, Target, Walgreens, CVS and Rite Aid.

Now through November 9, runners will carry an American flag 3,800 miles across the country to raise awareness and funds in support of veteran communities in America and BAND-AID^® Brand will further support Team Red, White & Blue during the Relay by donating $1.00 for each consumer message encouraging Relay runners and thanking veterans, up to $25,000.

I come from a family of military persons.  They have primarily been Navy and it broke my heart when I was not able to also join the navy.  Medical conditions didn’t allow for it.  I often wonder how my life would be different if that path were able to come to fruition.  I don’t know anyone currently serving but my brother and sister did serve for years and served in Desert Storm etc…

You can support the red, white and blue by sending supportive messages.  We support them by sending care packages over the holidays – as many as we can to reach as many service persons as possible.  But care packages can also be sent all year long.  We often will pay someone’s tab if they are in the military waiting in line for their meal at McDonalds etc… We are pretty close to a naval base and a military school so that opportunity presents itself rather frequently.

BAND-AID® Brand Adhesive Bandages are a staple in American households and have been involved in the U.S. Armed Forces since WWII when they provided first-aid products – but they understand that the needs of veteran communities go beyond just first aid.
