The MeaurePro IRT20 Temperature Gun by MeasuPro is designed to measure the temperature without contact. You can measure liquid or very hot surfaces without getting near it. You can even move it around and watch the temperature change. It’s compact and fits in your hand. It also has red laser to show you exactly the spot of the measurement.
When I received the temperature gun I noticed several things about it. It can read in Celsius or Fahrenheit. For me, this isn’t a big plus because I can’t relate to Celsius readings, but it’s there if you want it. The backlit screen is a great feature. You don’t have to struggle to read the temperature.
I love making candy around the holidays but always struggle to read those candy thermometers that you hook on to the side of the pan. This temperature gun takes an instant read much faster than I could read the candy thermometer. We tested it next to the candy thermometer and it was spot on. We also tested it on boiling water and it measured 212 degrees exactly. The grip is also very comfortable in my hand.
There are many non-contact infrared temperature guns on the market they range in price from $12 to $60. I would be very nervous about any infrared temperature gun you can find priced at $12. But I also wouldn’t want to spend $60 for a thermometer. This temperature gun is great quality at a great price. I don’t think you’d go wrong with this product.
