Both of these are very sharp so please make sure your children do not have access to them.  But for an adult – they are perfect.  They get the job done quickly and well.  I don’t have to spend forever (or what feels like forever) peeling potatoes, apples, cucumbers or whatever else I need to work on.  They do the job I need and efficiently.  These ceramic products are said to be less fragile than other brands because of a patented four step process they have.  I have never broken a ceramic knife so I can’t really say whether they are or aren’t more fragile.  I tend to stick to softer fruits/vegetables/foods with my ceramic knives.  I would not try cutting jicama with it!  I am going to bring this to work for my lunches – the 3 inch size is perfect for my office.
