Ten Steps to Weight Loss on a Budget
When you want to lose some weight you need to start with the right mind set, and the right mind set won’t cost you a thing, although it’s the first and most important step in the process. Find out here what the 10 steps to weight loss on a budget are.
- The Right Mind Set
As I’ve already said, there’s no cheaper yet effective means to lose weight than starting with the right mind set. The mindset is something you create, all the thoughts and beliefs that you allow and welcome. Start by believing that you can do it, that you can achieve your weight loss goals. It won’t cost you a thing but it will do a lot for you!
- More Protein, less Carbs
Although many people say that working out is the most effective way to lose weight, diet makes up to 70% of the overall success. You don’t have to starve to death, but eat more protein and veggies, rice and fruits and avoid too many carbs. That’s it!
- No SUGAR!
Yeah, I know, we all love sugar and some don’t imagine one day to go by without satisfying that ever present sweet tooth. The bad news is sugar is just as dangerous of an addiction as cocaine and it makes you sick, fat and totally unhappy on the long run. Give up eating sweets and sugar and you’ll start to lose inches right away. It’s a fact!
- Gym Membership
Although getting a gym membership costs money, there are gyms that most of us can afford and they don’t drain your resources out. Going to the gym is more motivating than working out by yourself, so… think about it. If for some reason that is absolutely not an option – invest in a good jump rope!
- Follow the People you Admire
Take advantage of social media and follow on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter the people that motivate you to lose weight. It won’t cost you a thing and you’ll keep your motivation up.
- Visualize Yourself at the Ideal Weight
Some say that day dreaming is for fools but I couldn’t disagree more. On the contrary. Using visualization to see yourself at your ideal weight is the secret to becoming that person you want to be. Take only a few minutes every day to visualize yourself as you want to be and let the universe do the rest. You could also listen to guided imagery CDs or hypnosis.
- Enter a Community
Either you sign up for a weight loss forum/website or one of the many communities you can find on social networks, entering a community with people that wants to lose weight just like you do is one of the cheapest and best ways to go around losing weight on a budget.
- Surround Yourself with Fit People
Another easy step in achieving that weight loss goal is to surround yourself with fit people who love to eat healthy, work out and look amazing. Even before you know it, you’ll start behave as one and become healthier and happier. And it doesn’t cost a thing!
- Start Loving Yourself
Losing weight is harder when you put extra unwanted pressure on yourself. One big step on your journey of losing weight is to start loving your body. After all, it’s the body you choose to have in this life, it is unique and it is your temple while wandering on this planet. Make it easier on yourself, love your body.
- Stop Seeing Yourself as Fat
Last but not least, stop thinking about yourself as fat and stop visualizing yourself that way. One of the main secrets nobody tells you is that you can be whoever you want to be in each second of your life. In this regard, you will be of great service to your mind and body if you would let go of your old image about yourself and start creating that you that you desire.
These are the 10 steps to weight loss on a budget. Most cost nothing, it’s up to you to go for it and make it! You can do it!
