Holiday Cookies In A Pinch (And Quick)
We have many holiday parties coming up, and I wanted to make cookies that were different from anything we had done before, and I didn’t want to do chocolate chip cookies – my usual choice.
The following criteria were that I needed my daughter’s help, and she would have to work fairly independently if we were going to make some good progress. You won’t believe how easy these are, and my daughter can easily whip up an entire batch by herself – though this time we needed so many, we split the responsibilities.
All you need to make these cookies are three items:
Vanilla Wafers
Melting chocolate discs
Candy shapes
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees
Spread your vanilla wafers out on the cookie sheet (do not grease it) with the flat side down.
Lay one chocolate melting disc on top of each vanilla wafer – flat side down again.
Place that tray in the oven for 2-3 minutes. Just long enough to make the chocolate soft – not melted.
Remove from oven and place one decorative candy on top of each, pushing down slightly, so it stays when the chocolate hardens.
Once the chocolate hardens, you can store it in a container and serve it anytime.
Easiest holiday cookies ever!
