We are definitely fans of Nascar. I can think of just about any major event in any major race and I know exactly where I was and what I was doing. We even occasionally get to go to the races. Living in New England we don’t have as many options as those persons in warmer climates but we do attend Nascar in New Hampshire as well as some smaller races in Maine. The excitement is incredible and a very long, full day of so much to do!
about J.D. Byrider and Tony Stewart
Tony Stewart has always been one of our favorite drivers. He has partnered with J.D. Byrider – a used car dealership franchise where a person can purchase a car if they have bad credit, no credit or poor credit, as well as find help to improve his or her credit score. J.D. Byrider and Tony Stewart have been a team since 1997, when Byrider began sponsoring a late-model dirt-track car that Tony continued to race twice a year. Tony still participates in some events, and since his retirement last season has taken on more of a team management and ownership role. This is a terrific alliance since they complement each other so well. J.D. Byrider has simple on-site financing making it a very attractive option for people who are very busy. Nowadays we just don’t have time to go from place to place trying to find financing for a vehicle. They do thorough inspections on every vehicle – 92 point inspections! This level of detail in inspections allows buyers to be comfortable in knowing they have thoroughly assessed each vehicle. Available vehicles include serviced, computer-tested and reconditioned cars with clean titles. They even offer low-cost on-site service and repairs. They do far more than most dealerships – their website takes a very holistic approach by offering tips to help consumers boost credit ratings and assist with budgeting and financing. Tony Stewart was born in 1971 and became a professional stock car racing driver and NASCAR team owner. He was a three-time NASCAR Sprint Cup series champion as a driver (2002, 2005 and 2011). As an owner he also won in 2014 with Kevin Harvick’s title. Other racing titles he won include Indy, midget, sprint, and USAC Silver Crown cars being the only driver in history to win a championship in both IndyCar and NASCAR. In the Summer of 1997, Joe Leonard, a marketing representative for one of Byrider’s key franchisees (and not the same guy as the race driver), brought the idea of sponsoring Stewart’s stock dirt late model car to Byrider executives and its advertising agency. Jim England, then Executive Vice President of the ad agency, saw the potential and pushed for a small sponsorship budget. Once funding was approved, Tony Stewart and J.D. Byrider were off to the “races”. In 1999 J.D. Byrider opened its 100th dealership and surpassed the 100,000 vehicle sales mark, while Tony Stewart won NASCAR’s Winston Cup Rookie of the year. Huge successes continued for the pair year after year. In 2006 there were several changes when J.D. Sr. died and J.D. Jr. took over but even with those changes, growth continued. By 2014 J.D. Byrider had sold more than 1 million vehicles! 2016 marked the final year of the J.D. Byrider/Tony Stewart (and TSR/WoO/USAC) relationship. However, J.D. Byrider and Tony Stewart will continue their winning ways because both enterprises are driven to succeed. National Motorsports Press Association (NMPA) ranked Stewart in the top 10 drivers of all-time in performance, his influence on the sport and his compassion supported by the Tony Stewart Foundation. He will continue to head up Stewart-Haas Racing, fielding four cars driven by Kevin Harvick, Danica Patrick, Clint Bowyer and Kurt Busch.
What is Tony Stewart up to lately?
Tony Stewart Racing will continue to compete in the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series with Donny Schatz, one of the winningest drivers ever to compete in the series, and the USAC Midget, Sprint and Silver Crown Series. And, Tony will be back behind the wheel of a sprint car himself. Tony Stewart is part of the Arctic Cat All Star Race Schedule in 2017.
