Creamy Delicious Berry Pie – No Bake! Made With Hood #CalorieCountdown #IC

This post was sponsored by Hood as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central and all opinions expressed in my post are my own.

I have started on a weight loss program.  Technically it isn’t a weight loss program – it is a variant of intermittent fasting.  With that “fasting” I have decided to modify some of my food choices and my family’s.  My daughter loves fruit so making a dessert that is colorful and delicious is the perfect choice.  Hood Calorie Countdown Dairy Beverage fits into my lifestyle changes perfectly!

Another benefit of this dessert is that it is quick and easy to make and doesn’t require anything except patience.

You really can’t get much more easy than this – it is simply a large instant vanilla pudding box.  If you use a small box – use two.  Make according to the directions on the box – replacing the milk with Hood Calorie Countdown Dairy Beverage.  It is a nice thick, quite creamy beverage that makes for the perfect consistency of pudding.  I absolutely love this dairy beverage even more than milk and so do my kids.  Why do we love it so much?  This new dairy beverage is available in whole for 100 calories, reduced fat for just 70 calories per serving, fat free at just 35 calories per serving and chocolate reduced fat – just 80 calories per serving!

Since we found Hood Calorie Countdown Dairy Beverage we have only been buying that in our house.  We have replaced any other dairy beverage with this one.  We are using it in cereal (hot and cold), hot cocoa, creamy soups, smoothies and desserts – delicious desserts!

We are now able to have food items that we have avoided in the past because of the calories – we now have a great way to reduce the calories without compromising flavors through the addition of Hood Calorie Countdown! These beverages have 42% fewer calories, 75% less sugar and 67% fewer carbohydrates than milk.  For me the best point is that it provides 25% of our Daily Value for calcium and 15% of the Daily Value of Vitamin D per one cup serving.  And, we all know Hood is a leader in high quality dairy product and their Calorie Countdown beverages live up to that same expectation.

For this particular dessert we used a premade graham cracker crust and poured in the prepared pudding as described above.  We let that setup a little bit – we left it in the fridge for about a half hour.  Then we added blackberries, blueberries and raspberries.  The next one we make will probably be strawberries and kiwi on top.  I can’t eat kiwi but the family will love it – I am allergic.  Additionally, we can also make it with sugar free pudding and other flavors.

If you’d like, you could also add whip cream when serving or drizzle chocolate syrup.  We like it just the way it is.  It is gorgeous, creamy and simply delicious.

And the chocolate Hood Calorie Countdown – best chocolate beverage the kids had ever tasted.  And for me – I don’t normally drink chocolate beverages at all – ever.   And now, this beverage is a part of my daily weight loss plan.

Hood Calorie Countdown is available at Walmart!

It is so easy to find in all flavor options.
