Charity Work During COVID
I have always felt very strongly about charitable causes and helping others. I am fortunate to also have children that love to help too. Some of the things we have done over the years are: Distribute food and toys on Christmas day to needy families – we simply celebrate the day after Care packages for homeless Food donations to food banks Participate in charitable events like pet days with donations Provide school supplies and instruments to those in need Run a campaign to remind people to pay it forward These are just some ideas. But right now with COVID there are so many other opportunities to help. Did you know…

America Together Organization
While traveling across our country, I encountered the same complaints from people no matter if they are urban, suburban or rural. They are asking why the United States is so politically divided that it is ripping itself apart. For many it feels like a Civil War is about to erupt. As concerned Americans, especially Parents, we want our children to grow up in the same wonderful USA that raised us. We have an amazing country with such a potential future, but realize that this Red-Blue Political Madness is dividing us to the point of destroying us and everything we hold dear. We know that what unites us is far greater…

Take The Jump – Make a Difference #JumpForKids
Most of us can likely conjure up a few decidedly positive or negative images based on the phrases “rise and shine”, “early to bed, early to rise”, or “So-and-so woke up on the wrong side of the bed.” But what if you had no point of reference with which to understand the subtleties of these phrases? What if simple joys like snuggling under warm covers or enjoying a good night’s sleep were not familiar to you? Unfortunately, this is the case for many needy children in our midst. Nearly one in 30 kids in the United States faces the brutal reality of homelessness, not having the certainty of a next…

The Face of Horse Rescue – Freedom From Slaughter
Two years ago my daughter started riding horses. I didn’t think in a million years something like that would happen – you see, I have severe allergies to horses. BUT, modern medicine has changed and the drugs available today now make it possible for me to not only get near a horse but also own some. So almost a year to the day later – we bought our first horse in May 2016. As if one horse wasn’t enough – we bought two more in August 2016. That was supposed to be a one horse purchase but lo and behold – two! That is pretty much how our life…

Spring Cleaning with Goodwill – Social Good Post
This is a social good post. All opinions are those of our own. I love this time of year – we are able to really start cleaning our house out. I have such a sense of accomplishment when I get to really focus on decluttering after a long winter indoors! The kids love their cleaned up rooms, I love the cleaned up basement! Over the past several years, most of us have had a family member, friend, acquaintance struggle in this economy. Either they have lost a job or struggled to find employment. And if not someone you know personally, really, all you have to do is turn on…
