Winter Equine Terrarium – Dollar Tree Style
Last night I was searching for terrariums and I came across equine terrariums – and fell in love. I immediately knew I totally wanted to make one of these – now that I have made one I may just make more! This was fun, quick and thanks to Dollar Tree – inexpensive. Here’s what I used: A celebration bowl (terrarium) from the wedding section – plastic not glass Two bags or rocks for the bottom of the bowl – layer at the bottom of the bowl. The bags are two different sizes of rocks – the smaller size fills in between the larger size. Four bags of white sand (snow)…

Fun Mickey Mouse Tumblers – Just $1 Each #DisneySide @HomeCelebration
This is another Fun Mickey Mouse project that is easy and inexpensive. I purchased the plain tumblers from Dollar Tree. I actually purchased a bunch of them a while ago and they are my “go to” item for fun easy projects. Who doesn’t need a new tumbler? In addition to the tumbler all you need is either a sheet of adhesive laminate or a sheet of contact paper – permanent or replaceable. For this I am using laminate but only because that was the closest I had to the color black – which of course you can see that it is brown… Laminate is rather expensive while contact paper is…

Mickey Mouse Sharpie Mugs for Our Upcoming 10th Birthday Celebration #DisneySide @HomeCelebration
This project is incredibly easy and I was able to create these very inexpensively with the help of Dollar Tree. I found these white mugs at Dollar Tree so the project cost only $7 for 7 mugs (since I already had Sharpie’s on hand). We used red and black Sharpie’s. The process is very simple – clean off your surface with either an alcohol wipe or a cotton ball. You need a Mickey Mouse template which I just printed a “head” online. It doesn’t need to be perfect. Tape it (I rolled the tape because I need the letter to be easily removed afterward) on to the mug surface. Then…

Dollar Tree’s Value Seeker Club – A Gift Basket For Teacher!
This post is sponsored by Dollar Tree and all opinions are 100% mine. Well here we are again – it’s Back To School TIME! I don’t know about you but as happens every year I am running around trying to get my children their clothes, shoes, backpacks etc… They also need so much in the way of stationary supplies, arts and craft supplies and more for that first big day – I always turn to Dollar Tree to help me out with those items. And you know the classroom item requests – antibacterial wipes, facial tissue – those are also easily found at Dollar Tree as well as that…

Dollar Store Obstacle Course – Tons of Fun!
This is an update of a previously published post. My kids are totally addicted to WipeOut, American Ninja Warrior and American Gladiators. They love the obstacle course type shows. Their latest plea was for me to make them an obstacle course. Naturally they had the most grandiose ideas possible but they were nonetheless quite pleased with the alternative that I designed. This isn’t the end result but this is our starting point. I have many other ideas to “add in” using only things we have on hand. I didn’t want to do all the ideas at once – let them have some variations when they become bored. Everything from this…
