We Must Have Pork Pie For The Holidays

  • 2 Pounds ground pork
  • 1 Pound ground hamburg
  • 1 Quart Chicken broth
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Ground Sage
  • Ground Cloves
  • 3 Pounds of potatoes
  • Stick of butter
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • Premade Crust (or make your own)
  1. Simmer pork and hamburg in chicken broth in a large pot until cooked. Add seasonings of salt, pepper, ground sage and ground cloves to taste.
  2. Peel potatoes and cut into small slices. Boil until soft so they can be poked with a fork. Drain potatoes. Mash potatoes and add in butter, milk, salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Drain meat. Scoop mashed potatoes into the meat and mix as you go. It may require additional seasonings.
  4. Scoop into pie crust and cover with a pie crust.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees until crust is brown (60-80 minutes)
