Using Acoustic Panels To Make A Room More Quiet
Have you ever wished your room was quieter, that you could somehow shut out all the noise coming in from outside? Well, you may not be alone in this as many others experience this same exasperating reaction to noise coming in from neighbors, traffic, and other unwanted sources outside of our control. On the flip side, have you had your neighbors getting really pissed at you, knocking on your door, and asking you to keep things quieter in your apartment? Again, you are not alone in this as this is a pretty normal occurrence in many places. According to this article here, this is one of the complaints that landlords…

Turn Up The Heat – Time For The HVAC Seasonal Switch #HouseExperts #ad
We spend alot of time outdoors in the colder weather – taking care of the horses, working on stuff for the horses, riding the horses…. Sense a theme. But when we come indoors we need for our home to be comfortable and warm. Cold is fine outdoors but I prefer to keep it from the indoor… And right now it isn’t officially winter yet so we need to make sure everything is all set for the really cold temperatures. With Winter approaching we need to make sure our HVAC system can keep up. One option is to call Rent A Chiller to have your needs met. A different option…

Need New Flooring – Sears Can Help #HouseExperts
We have been living in our house for almost 15 years now. We did replace some carpeting when we bought the house but the bedrooms are in desperate need of replacement. The kids’ rooms are at least blue – but our bedroom is a tan/gold carpeting. I swear that carpeting is as old as this house is – 1925! Don’t even get me started on the kitchen linoleum – tan/brown/cream colored – antique flooring for sure. Since we have moved in it has been one major project after another and it seems we let the smaller project like flooring slip through the cracks. The bedroom carpeting keeps getting…

The Dream Bathroom – Make It Happen #HouseExperts
Ah the dream bathroom. What are my two most wanted rooms in the house? Bathroom and Kitchen. We have already talked about my kitchen but let’s now talk about our bathroom. We have a small – not the smallest – bathroom. Our previous home had the smallest bathroom ever – probably even smaller than the bathroom in our camper. So when we bought this house 15 years ago our bathroom seemed quite spacious. After all two people could physically stand in there together so to us that was huge. It didn’t take long to realize that it was not much larger than the other bathroom. Having kids brought…

Dreaming of a Kitchen Remodel! #HouseExperts
We have a pretty large house with three kitchens believe it or not. But I would take one large kitchen over three of what we have any day. Our kitchens are the small galley style kitchens. Two people cannot maneuver around in these kitchens. There is barely any counter space and definitely no room for a dishwasher. So yes, I definitely dream of a different kitchen. Our primary kitchen definitely needs an overhaul. I am not quite sure how that can happen with our space limitations but in my dream I don’t need to worry about space. I would love a double deckers oven; a large refrigerator; all…

What Would I Love Most From Sears Home Services #HouseExperts
Our house is a three family – technically… We bought it as a two family 15 years ago and used it as a single family because we needed so much space. Then my in-laws moved in, we ripped off the roof/attic and added a third apartment. Our house was built in 1925 – there are so many things in it that I would love to replace. It didn’t bother me so much until we added the third apartment and now that we have one space that is modern it feels strange when we are in the more antiquated spaces. There are three furnaces in this house –…
