Buglet – All Natural Bug Repellent Bracelet

buglet 2

Buglet is a reusable, all-natural insect repellent slap bracelet for kids.  The bracelet houses a pumice stone face dial that absorbs and emits a mild scent of the insect repellent oil.  The oil never touches your child as it is directly applied to the pumice stone, so it is great for kids with sensory and skin sensitivities.  You just add more oil as the scent fades and more protection will be needed if the stone gets wet.

The repellent oil contains 100% natural oils with 100% active ingredients.  There is zero DEET or harmful toxins in this product.

First off I will say that I hate DEET.  I have never had an experience that I can truly pinpoint was a negative experience because of DEET.  But who knows.  My kids have special needs and sometimes start acting very strangely – why subject them to chemicals if we can avoid it.  We do camp though so some sort of protection against the bugs is critical.  We also go to the beach alot which seems to be home to numerous varieties of vicious horse flies – you can still see sand on my hand in the photo above.

The Buglet slap bracelet arrives in a tube with the bracelet and a bottle of insect repellent all natural oil.  Simply remove the bracelet from the container and add some oil to the pumice stone – then wear.  It is remarkably effective.  My daughter loves hers – the pink one.  Her only request was if the colors could be a little more exciting such as pink camouflage…  Options are a bunny, owl, monkey, or plain and you can purchase them for $17.99 or an additional bottle of oil for $7.00.

We feel so much better “slapping” this bracelet on our kids rather than spraying them with products containing DEET.
