My Konjac Sponge is a facial sponge made from fiber of a konjac plant, otherwise known as an elephant yam. Konjac has been around for ages and is known to be chock full of vitamins and minerals. The konjac fiber is combined with activated bamboo charcoal for a sponge that has some great elements. The sponge can be found in many online shops and Whole Foods Market.
When I received the sponge, it was dry and hard. The instructions indicated that you should soak it in water until soft. I was impressed that the process only took approximately 2 minutes. I had expected a very rough sponge experience. It was actually very soft after being soaked in water. My 8 year old twins were so fascinated with the black sponge that I had to steal it back from them to try it out.
The sponge worked great with my regular facial soaps and left my skin very smooth (which is tough to do at my age). I felt like it cleansed my skin in a way most sponges are unable to do. It’s great for acne prone skin and and cleanses without drying. The sponge also dried out well when hung by the convenient string after I used it. I’m now using it on a daily basis and expect to enjoy it for the foreseeable future.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
