Marble Run by Mindware provides endless hours of engineering fun! The MindWare Marble Run gets the fun rolling! Build tracks that twist and turn with colorful pieces that simply slide together. Then send marbles speeding through chutes, merry-go-rounds, windmills, S-curves, a U-turn slide and centrifugal funnel. Ages 4+. My daughter plays with a different Marble Run setup every time we go to the doctors office and I have a tough time leaving – because she isn’t done playing yet. Occasionally when we get there, all the marbles are missing. Time to get her a Marble Run for herself. The concept is simple – build a structure with the different shaped tubes and let your marbles find their way through. This is definitely a product that offers hours of fun at a time. When she gets bored with one design she plays around with the shapes and tries to make something else. This Target Exclusive model has ten pieces and it is very easy to put them together. Mindware does also have many other Marble Runs – something for every age and skill level. It goes a step beyond so many other toys that allow children to build something – with Marble Run our daughter needs to build it but also think about the path of the marbles and make it all flow nicely. It does list itself as for ages 3-6 but it doesn’t matter – our 9 year old loves it and so does our 14 year old. And as an added bonus – it is a product that does not require batteries.
