Roasted Red Pepper Hummus Recipe – Tahini Free
I love hummus and I especially love playing around with different ways to make it. I am not tied to any particular flavor so pretty much I am game for anything.
Tonight I made Roasted Red Pepper Hummus but I didn’t have any Tahini.
1 Can Chickpeas
1 Full roasted red pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt – I use himalayan sea salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper – I LOVE pepper so the more the better – you may like less
3 Garlic cloves – if you are sensitive to garlic – try just 2 cloves
Mix all in a blender. I prefer to use my Vitamix because I like my hummus really really smooth. As you can see I don’t tell you how much olive oil – mostly because I didn’t measure. But I added a little bit at a time until it was a consistency I was happy with. Play with it and see what is good for you.
There you have it – I prefer to eat my hummus on Wheat thins or pretzel crisps but naturally there are unlimited ways to enjoy it. Whatever works for you!
