Ozeri Green Earth Pans – My Favorite Pans Ever!
I have come to LOVE my pans. When I first got married I was happy with any $2 frying pan. Since then I have come to totally love specific pans and the Ozeri Green Earth Pan is right at the top of that list. Before we get into the qualities that most people care about – I have to tell that green is BEAUTIFUL. Love it! The pans hold up very well to a great deal of use and they are very heavy duty. Don’t come between me and my Ozeri Green Earth Pan – um, yeah, I am totally not kidding…
Ozeri Green Earth Pans are excellent quality and have a durable coating called Greblon (developed in Germany). Ozeri Green Earth Pans are among the first to utilize this technology to achieve nonstick perfection while remaining absolutely free of PTFE, PFOA, and other harmful chemicals.
Have you read about all the harmful issues with traditional teflon? Let me fill you in. Once I read about it I stopped using any traditional teflon pans in our home. Conventional non-stick cookware is achieved through a coating of PTFE (PolyTetraFluoroEthylene), a synthetic substance that has waxy properties. At very high temperatures, PTFE begins to decompose and release fumes which are documented to be lethal to birds and small pets, and which can be harmful to humans. In addition, traditional pans incorporating PTFE are manufactured with the aid of PFOA (PerFluoroOctanoic Acid), which the EPA has classified as a ‘persistent pollutant of the environment’.
The Green Earth Pans are not harmful in any way even under very high temperatures. This coating comes from nature – not from a laboratory and is resistant to scratching. As a result of this excellent durability I don’t need to use much oil at all when cooking. The natural properties of the pan act as the best non stick surface even without alot of additional cooking agents. Cleanup is easy with this pan – definitely no scrubbing needed and the anodized aluminum allows for more even cooking with each meal. This pan also has the magnetized bottom for rapid induction stoves and a heat resistant silicone handle. And lastly – the textured surface allows air to distribute evenly enhancing cooking performance.
