Silicone Ice Pops by FoodWorks – Review + Giveaway

FoodWorks Silicone Ice Pop Makers are popsicle molds that are designed to allow Moms to make healthier frozen snacks for their kids.  They are easy to use and the screw-on tops make them great because you can lay them down in your freezer without worrying about spills.  They are BPA free which is a health necessity these days.  They are also easy to fill and dishwasher safe.

My kids love those freeze pops that you get at the grocery store in the summer and they come 300 to a package and you pay $5 for them.  I like them because they don’t make a mess like other popsicles.  I don’t like them because they are all sugar and water.  Not exactly the healthiest frozen snack.

I’ve tried many options to make a healthier frozen snack for my kids but was always frustrated because the freezer molds on the market today all seem to topple over making a big mess.  (I should tell you our freezer is always full and there is really no room for one form with 6 popsicles in it).

I bought a strawberry and a blueberry smoothie drink, the ones you find in the produce aisle at the grocery store.  They are ones that are chock full of vitamins and minerals. I filled up all six of the ice pop molds, screwed on the tops and stuck them in the freezer.  They could fit in anywhere I can find a few inches of space in the freezer.

Four hours later the kids were enjoying healthy frozen snacks.  The silicone ice pop makers froze much quicker than I expected. And surprisingly, the ice pops were very easy to get out of the mold.  You can put them under some warm water for a minute or even wiggle them around a bit and the freeze pop comes right out.  I have 3 girls and they managed to go through all 6 in less than an hour.  So we filled them up again and into the freezer they went.
