Van’s Pasta and Granola – Healthy Options Can Be Delicious
Van’s has been cooking up tasty, good-for-you waffles for almost a half century. It all started back in the 1970s at the original Van’s restaurant. It was there, inspired by their California beach-side roots, that they first dished up whole grain and gluten free hot ’n toasty waffles. By the late 1980s, they decided it was time to bring their tasty waffles to a whole new group of customers – right in their local grocery stores.
That same passion for seriously healthy, seriously tasty foods lives on at Van’s today. They value artisan quality and they cook their products in small, minimally processed batches with always-fresh ingredients. And since they want everyone to be able to enjoy their waffles, they offer gluten free waffles along with organic, mini and their signature 8 Whole Grain varieties.
But now they also make seriously wholesome, seriously tasty foods! We were sent their new granola and pasta flavors to try out. First of all my kids are total pasta-holics. It is pretty difficult to make any pasta dish they won’t eat unless it is a really spicy hot dish. We loved them all. And as far as the granola goes – I didn’t share it with my family. Didn’t even tell them I had it. It was my own little personal treasure! I never do that but these are delicious.
Van’s pastas are gluten free and come in the following flavors: Creamy Herb and Garlic, Rotini and Red Sauce, and Ultimate Cheddar Penne (my kids favorite). Each are gluten free and packed with whole grains and protein and my kids can always use some additional protein in their diets. Van’s granola is available in Blueberry Walnut and Cranberry Almond – also gluten free with plenty of whole grains!
These products are packed with flavor and much healthier alternatives for you and your family.
Where can you find Van’s? Use their Store Locator to check in your area. In my area they are at Whole Foods but in the area in Maine that we stay at for a good portion of the year, we can find them at the local Walmart SuperCenter.
