I was casually browsing websites, looking up a gift for 13-year old niece – to tell you the truth I wasn’t making much headway. It is so hard to shop for a girl who has just entered her teens! This is the age when they start developing the need to be hip and trendy in both looks and fashion, so naturally they won’t be much interested in dolls or toys. And a makeup set even if kid-friendly, was a strict no-no, as her mother would kill me for sure!

They basically sell nail eco-friendly nail polish made with natural ingredients, so both adults and children can wear them safely. They are manufactured with a water-based formula, don’t contain toxic chemicals and the odor is practically non-existent as compared to other varieties in the market.  It is all the more great for those with low levels of patience as it takes only 60 seconds to dry up completely – a blow dryer can hasten this process and impart a high level of chip resistance. There are some amazing shades in pink, blue, green, yellow etc.

Quick tips for you!

For making the nail polish last longer, I would recommend the Primer, Sealer, and Shine kit. All you need to do is apply a coat of the combined Primer & Sealer before putting on the nail polish, followed by the Shine Topcoat. There are some fun and vibrant colors here in the SOPHi range! My favorite shades from this collection would be – the dark pink “Plump up the Volume”, aquamarine “Pretty Shore About You”, and fiery “Red Bottom Stilettos”.

    As a nail polish collector (hoarder – lol), I would keep some of these prizes for myself. I would give the Piggy Paints to my best friends’ granddaughter. She’d be so excited!
