Gadgets are really, really fun. Who doesn’t love finding a new tool to use – especially if it is fun AND useful. Those two things don’t always go together, so I was excited to try the 3-in-1 Laser, Pen and Stylus from Kyasi. It is a well-designed and well-constructed product that will last me a very long time.

I have not used a stylus for a long time. I used to like the idea of a stylus, but some of them were just not very high quality. The styli that I used in the past either had a rubber tip (which didn’t move smoothly across the screen) or a hard plastic tip (which could scratch my screen), so I didn’t really care for them. The advantages of using a stylus, however, made me want to try the 3-in-1  Laser, Pen and Stylus. Using a stylus is preferable because you don’t leave fingerprints and smudges on your screen, and also because it allows you to select more precise items, which is important when you are on a phone and want to click on a link or icon. So I was pleased to find out that the Kyasi stylus uses a microfiber tip with a built in spring, which allows it to keep its shape while remaining soft and supple. I find it much easier to click on links, and I never have to worry about scratching my screen.

An additional issue with using a stylus is that it seems like it is never where you need it. The Kysai 3-in-1 Laser, Pen and Stylus corrects this issue by having all three pieces together in one implement. When you want to use the stylus, you simply pull the end off of the device and flip it around – voila, the pen is accessible. If you make this the pen that you always keeps with you, you will have your stylus always available as well. The pen itself is very high quality – and is refillable with a standard pen cartridge.

Finally, there is the laser pointer, which is on the other end of the barrel. It is simple to operate, you just need to press a button to use it. It comes with batteries, which are easily replaceable. As a Mom I have to give the caution, even though you already know it: don’t look directly at the laser or shine it in anyone’s eyes. Lasers are a lot of fun, though. They are great toys for playing with kittens and cats, but should not be used for dogs. They are useful if you are pointing out things in the night sky, or if you want to identify something far away. And there is the original purpose of laser pointers – using them in presentations and speeches to highlight information.

 The Kyasi 3-in-1 Laser, Pen and Stylus is an excellent gadget – it is perfect for practically anyone who uses a touch screen. It would be a great Father’s or Mother’s Day gift for anyone who makes presentations, or it would make a perfect stocking stuffer of groomsmen’s gift. Its convenience and high-quality will make it a treasured item for years to come.
