My kids have been dabbling in skateboards for quite a while and absolutely enjoy them. They don’t do tricks or anything but that doesn’t stop them from having a total blast. They have never had a longboard but definitely wanted one so badly.
This longboard is by Rimable and comes fully assembled and ready to ride straight out of the box. Thank goodness because no child wants to receive this for Christmas and have to wait for it to be assembled. The drop-down deck lowers the center of gravity for more control and stability making it perfect for cruising, commuting and carving.
This is a full 41X9.5 Inch Longboard with drop through trucks, medium concave and symmetrical shape. It is complete with Drop Through 7 inch 180 aluminum truck with polished finish and ultra high rebound bushings and 70X51MM PU WHEELS and ABEC-11 high-speed Bearings. This board is designed for anyone up to 220 pounds (100 Kg).
There is tremendous control with this longboard and although the kids have never used one before – this is definitely a great one to begin with (keeping in mind they already have been using skateboards). They had pretty good control and they were quite steady on it most of the time. I haven’t let them go downhill yet but they have started to go down our sloped long driveway with tremendous success. I highly recommend this longboard for beginners or more advanced. The kids have a great time and can’t seem to get enough of this board.

My daughter so wants one of these. Not sure I’m ready to go there yet. We live at the bottom of a steep hill. The middle school is at the top of the hill and we watch the student come down in front of our house on a regular basis. My daughter’s elementary school is down another hill. Definitely not ready.
